I’m a senior at the University of Houston studying print journalism and history. Until recently, I spent nearly every minute outside of class writing or editing a story for The Cougar, UH’s student newspaper, where I was Editor-in-Chief. I started reporting and learning the basics of print design and AP Style at 14, and I’m proud to say I learn something new every day. Before graduating in May 2019, I hope to intern at as many news organizations and magazines as possible, adopt a cat and create positive change on my campus.
Over the summer, I was a full-time multiplatform editing intern at the Houston Chronicle through the Dow Jones News Fund program. Right now, I’m interning there again, this time on the Metro desk. Read through my favorite stories on the “Reporting” tab.
